Thank you!! I truly believe hypopnea has been my problem for a year now! One friend told me it sounded like I have apnea, and another described similar symptoms but said it didn't sound like I stopped breathing completely. I hesitate to pay $400 out of pocket for a home sleep study that will tell me I'm "normal". I'm just going to start hypopnea treatments.

I am oral surgeon in asia. I almost never use opoids for post op pain control. Steroids mixed with lidocaine injection did the tricks by now. It might not be natural, but still is better juice than opoids.

This has never been explained more clearly to me. I wish you were in NYC. Could you please tell me if my joints would be at risk for relapse after ortho surgery? I've been to 3 surgeons who have all given different advice. My MRI results show that 1) Right side - anterolateral rotational disc displacement, with reduction on the open view, associated with a small right TMJ effusion/synovitis 2) Left side - marked anterior disc displacement without reduction on the open view, associated with a chronic osteochondral lesion of the left mandibular condyle

The problem is several-fold: Pediatricians do not refer to ENT doctors because the ENT fixes the patient and the patient does not return to the pediatrician because they are better and breathe better. Many ENTs don't know enough about the airway. We are made as humans to breathe through our nose. If we mouth-breathe, our nose by definition is obstructed.
